“Puffs”, by Matt Cox, directed by Max Protzen

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. This clever and inventive play gives you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children.

The play runs for 8 performances from 05.12.24 to 15.12.24, with the move-in to the theatre scheduled for Sunday 02.12.24. Rehearsals will be scheduled twice weekly in the evenings, starting in August. In November, Rehearsals will be scheduled three times a week in the evenings.

To audition, please prepare a short comedic monologue of 1-2 minutes, fill out the online audition form, and come to at least one of the following audition dates:

● Tuesday, July 2nd at 18:30 at Zentrum Bürenpark, Bürenstrasse 8, 3007 Bern: Guppenraum 2

● Wednesday, July 3rd at 18:30 at Zentrum Bürenpark, Bürenstrasse 8, 3007 Bern: Guppenraum 2

● Alternatively, Self-tape auditions will be accepted until Wednesday, July 3rd.

Please note, that each day of auditions will be held in two parts:
Part 1: Auditions with prepared material (1-2 minute Monologue).
Part 2: Callbacks with a monologue or short scene from the play, supplied by the director.

Roles

There are 50 roles traditionally played by a cast of 11. There are no restrictions regarding age, gender, or physical appearance. 4 actors will likely only play one role each. The other 7 actors will play the rest of the roles.
