Improv Theatre Workshops
Posted on June 3rd, 2023 by Alex Sigrist
We are delighted to announce the extended workshop series for 2024.
Improvisation is a form of theatre that is completely unplanned and unscripted. Players create scenes and dialogue in the moment.
These workshops will include a mix of fun games, improv exercises, scenes and group activities. Participants will develop improvisation techniques including: listening, spontaneity, “yes and”, staying open and flexible in performance, trusting and developing ideas, creating interesting characters and more.
Come and join us! Absolute beginners welcome! You don’t need any experience of drama, acting, comedy or improvisation.
Workshops take place on the following Tuesdays:
9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th January.
6th, 13th, 20th and 27th February
5th, 12th, 19th and 26th March.
Where: 1st floor, Bürenpark, Bürenstrasse 8, 3007 Bern.
When: 7.00pm to 9.30pm
Costs:
12 evenings: Members 60 CHF, Non-members 80 CHF
Single evening: Members 5 CHF, Non-members 10 CHF.
Payment can be made by cash or Twint.
(This is a non-profit event)
The workshops are run by Anna and Hulda and are held in English.
Make sure you sign up for the dates that work for you. You’re welcome to attend one or all, whatever works for you!
Improvisation is an individual art form, but like many others, improvisation needs to be practised. We recommend regular attendance for those interested in developing a thorough grounding in improvisation techniques.
